Russian and Tajik presidents agree to pool efforts to deal with migration issues

The Russian President noted that Tajikistan’s economy to a greater extent leaned on money transferred by Tajik nationals living and working in Russia

NOVO-OGARYOVO, August 1 (Itar-Tass) - Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Emomlai Rakhmon of Tajikistan on Thursday agreed to pool efforts to tackle problems in the area of migration.

“We discussed with Emomali Rakhmon cooperation in the area of migration and agreed to pool efforts to address problems that might arise,” Putin said after his talks with the Tajik leader.

The Russian President noted that Tajikistan’s economy to a greater extent leaned on money transferred by Tajik nationals living and working in Russia.
