MOSCOW, July 31 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow city hall authorized an opposition rally in defense of political prisoners. This reported the organizer of the protest action and member of the Expert Opposition Council Mikhail Anshakov on Wednesday.
“A rally was authorized on the Suvorovskaya Square on August 4 from 16:00 to 18:00 Moscow time with up to 500 participants,” he said.
Head of the Moscow regional security department Alexei Mayorov confirmed to Itar-Tass that the protest action was permitted.
The expert opposition council includes former candidates in the Opposition Coordination Council that were not elected during internet voting in the autumn of 2012.
