MOSCOW, July 25 (Itar-Tass) - Ilya Segalovich, a founder and the technical director of the Yandex Internet company, is in coma and has been connected to a life support unit, Arkady Volozh, the Yandex director general, said during a telephone conference on Thursday.

Later on, Yandex reported that the information was not officially confirmed.

"On the night to Thursday, Ilya’s family said that he had died. In the morning, reports came that Ilya had been connected to a life support unit. We are still waiting for official information and are so far refraining from comments,” the Yandex press service said.

Earlier reports said that Ilya Segalovich was undergoing treatment for stomach cancer.
