MOSCOW, July 24 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian-Moldovan inter-governmental commission will meet before yearend, Moldovan Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman said.
After negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday, Gherman said the meeting also focused on other issues, including migration problems. “We discussed measures to create an effective mechanism to ensure protection of migrants.”
“We agreed to sign an inter-governmental agreement on cooperation in the field of labour migration as soon as possible,” the minister said, adding that the parties continued consultations to prepare and sign an agreement on readmission and a document on cooperation in illegal migration.
