Russia’s 4th military base in South Ossetia to be fully equipped before yearend

Currently, construction of schools, child care centers, and lodgings for the officers’ families is underway

TSKHINVAL, July 23 (Itar-Tass) - Infrastructure development and equipping of Russia’s fourth military base in South Ossetia will be completed before the end of 2013, the commander of the base, Major General Alexander Shushukin told Itar-Tass told Itar-Tass Tuesday.

“By that time construction of Russian military facilities in Tskhinval /South Ossetia’s capital/ and in the town of Java will be over,” he said.

Currently, construction of schools, child care centers, and lodgings for the officers’ families is underway, Gen Shushukin said.
