Suspected attackers on lawmaker Khudyakov being checked for involvement in other crimes

The detectives found that in March 2013, staying at a cafe of the trading centre Evropeisky, four defendants demanded from a businessman to pay 30 million roubles

MOSCOW, July 22 (Itar-Tass) - Suspected attackers on State Duma deputy from the LDPR faction Roman Khudyakov faced the accusation, they are also being checked for involvement in other crimes, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee told Itar-Tass on Monday.

“The Moscow branch of the Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee brought the accusations against Artur Minbulatov, Khachubek Khadisov, Shamil and Zakarya Gadzhiyevs. All of them are accused of banditry and extortion under Article 162 Part 1 and Article 163 Part 3 of the Russian Criminal Code. Meanwhile, Artur Minbulatov and Zakarya Gadzhiyev are accused of battery and hooliganism under Article 116 Part 2 and Article 213 Part 2,” the press service said.

The detectives found that in March 2013, staying at a cafe of the trading centre Evropeisky, four defendants demanded from the businessman to pay 30 million roubles to them. After the businessman tried to use the mobile phone to ask for help the suspects beat him up and robbed him of the mobile phone.

“Meanwhile, on July 9, driving the Toyota Land Cruiser jeep, Artur Minbulatov has made a dangerous manoeuvre, triggering a road accident with the car, which State Duma deputy Roman Khudyakov was driving. Going out from the car, Minbulatov and Gadzhiyev beat up Khudyakov and escaped from the crime scene,” the press service said.

Along with the foresaid crimes, the detectives are checking the defendants in the criminal case for involvement in other crimes. “Two pistols IZH, which were confiscated from Zakarya Gadzhiyev and Artur Minbulatov in the detention, are being checking in different databases,” the press service of the Investigative Committee said.
