SEOUL, July 17 (Itar-Tass) - The DPRK and the Republic of Korea failed to settle disagreements on the Kaesong Industrial Park at the 4th round of talks, spokesperson to the South Korean Unification Ministry Park Chung-hee said on Wednesday.

“Our delegation stressed that it was important to realize the positions why the Kaesong Industrial Park had stopped its work,” the spokesperson said.

She said during the discussions, the parties had reiterated their positions. The DPRK and South Korean delegations failed to reach a compromise, Park Chung-hee said.

No progress has been achieved to resume the work of the complex, she added.

Seoul urged Pyongyang to take a constructive position on resuming the work of the Kaesong Industrial Park. However, the North Korean delegation demanded again the complex be resumed the work as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, over 330 officials and representatives, who work at the enterprise, continue to export products and raw materials to South Korea from Kaesong. Many businessmen hurry up to take all necessary things out of the complex because they are not sure that the delegations succeed in reaching agreement to normalize the work of the complex.
