MAKHACHKALA, July 15 (Itar-Tass) - Secret services in Dagestan on Monday destroyed one of the militants involved in the recent attack on a car carrying police officers, a law-enforcement officers told Itar-Tass.
"In the course of an operation, special task force units found the whereabouts of one of the two gunmen who had fired on a police car near the village of Burshi on July 14. Four police officers were killed in the attack. The criminal offered armed resistance and was destroyed. Two helicopters are in use in the search for his accomplice," the police officer said adding that the operation is being conducted on the border between the Laksky and Kulinsky districts.
