Gunmen leader Doku Umarov's bodyguard killed in Ingushetia

NAZRAN, July 13 (Itar-Tass) - The two gunmen killed in the village of Nesterovskaya in Ingushetia are identified as Mikail Musikhanov and Ibragim Tsisdoyev, a law-enforcement source in the republic told Itar-Tass.

It is preliminary information. The identification must be confirmed.

Musikhanov was on a wanted list since 2011. He was a personal bodyguard of Doku Umarov, the leader of gunmen.

Tsisdoyev was a member of the Makhauri group hiding near the border between Ingushetia and Chechnya, according to the information of law-enforcement services.

Overnight, in the village of Nesterovskaya, the Sunzha district, the two gunmen offered resistance to law-enforcement unit members who attempted to detain them. The gunmen were in a private house. They opened fire and were killed in the exchange of fire.

A member of the special unit was wounded.
