NAZRAN, July 13 (Itar-Tass) - Two gunmen were killed in a special operation in Ingushetia, a source at the Investigative Committee’s department in the republic told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

The operation began in the village of Nesterovskaya, the Sunzha district, at about 00:30 Moscow time. Gunmen in a private house opened fire at law-enforcement officers who attempted to detain them. In the exchange of fire, one officer was wounded. The two gunmen were killed. They are identified.

A TT pistol and three homemade explosive devices were found at the site.
