TBILISI, July 12 (Itar-Tass) - Georgia continues integrating into Europe and carrying out democratic reforms, European Commissioner for the Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule said.

Speaking at an international conference devoted to Georgia’s integration into Europe, Fule said the European Union watched the development of events in Georgia.

Fule stressed that the EU disagreed with the existing myth saying Georgia would give up European integration and democratic reforms after the parliamentary elections in October 2012.

The myth should be destroyed, the European Commissioner said, adding that the Eastern Partnership summit would prove Georgia’s progress on the way to European integration.

The summit has all chances to become a cornerstone in relations between Georgia and the EU, and the Eastern Partnership as a whole, Fule said.
