Russian-Chinese Peace Mission 2013 exercises to be held at Chebarkul firing range

MOSCOW, July 12 (Itar-Tass) - Russia and China will conduct the anti-terrorist exercises Peace Mission 2013 at the Chebarkul firing range, near Chelyabinsk, in August, the Central Military District’s press service told Itar-Tass on Friday.

“The exercises involve command facilities and troops of the Central Military District and the Shenyang Military Region of the People’s Liberation Army of China. Totally, over 1,500 servicemen from both states, over 100 pieces of equipment and military hardware, over 20 aircraft and helicopters will take part in the manoeuvres,” the press service said.

During the exercises, the parties will train methods and forms of joint operations on planning, training and conducting military actions in the course of a counter-terrorism operation.

The manoeuvres will start on August 3.
