One person killed as rockslide hits Chelyabinsk region’s mine

Other 53 miners were evacuated

CHELYABINSK, July 10 (Itar-Tass) - One person was killed in a rockslide that hit a mine in the Chelyabinsk region, Russia’s Urals, the press service of the regional emergencies department told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

Other 53 miners were evacuated from the Tsentralnaya mine in the town of Plast.

The accident is being investigated.

Rescuers are working on the site.
