KAZAN, July 8 (Itar-Tass) - The Kazan Universiade will prepare many ready athletes for an upcoming Sochi Olympics, Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee Marat Bariyev told a press conference at the TASS-Club here on Monday.
“A large group of specialists headed by the general director of the organizing committee Sochi-2014 is staying here, in Kazan. Certainly, they are monitoring attentively and are examining all,” he said.
“It goes without doubt that they will take something to be guided by in the future. First and foremost, this concerns the sport staff. Those, who passed the school of the Universiade in combat conditions are ready for the Sochi Olympics. Doubtlessly, the main contribution of the Kazan Universiade in the Sochi Olympics will be exactly in this fact,” Bariyev underlined.
