MOSCOW, July 3 (Itar-Tass) - The KPRF faction at the State Duma intends to boycott all Duma debates until it breaks for summer holidays if a bill on the reform of the Russian Academy of Sciences is discussed at second reading on July 5, KPRF leader Gennady Zyuganov said on Wednesday.
"The bill ought to have been substantially discussed two months before so as to take into account the opinion of the academicians, scientists and science townships, but someone wants to pass the bill on Friday," Zyuganov said.
"If the other factions agree to vote for that we will walk out and will not take part in this disgrace until the Duma session is over," Zyuganov warned.
Leader of the Just Russia party Sergei Mironov said that the amended bill on the reform of the Academy of Sciences was circulated among the deputies who were asked to suggest their own amendments until July 4 so as to discuss the bill at second reading on July 5.
