Communists to boycott Duma plenary sessions if bill on RAS reform considered at accelerated pace

MOSCOW, July 3 (Itar-Tass) - The Communist Party faction in the Russian State Duma has promised to boycott its meetings until the end of the spring session, if a bill on the Russian Academy of Sciences reform is considered in the second reading on July 5, Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov said on Wednesday.

"If this shame continues, we will not take part in it. We will quit the State Duma until the end of the spring session,” Zyuganov said.

The spring plenary session of the Russian State Duma will end on July 5.
