MOSCOW, July 3 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and President-Elect of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Vladimir Fortov will ponder over the proposals on the changes in the leadership of the scientific sphere they made to each other.
The president proposed to Fortov on Wednesday to temporarily head simultaneously RAS and the RAS Property Management Agency. Fortov did not give an answer yet.
“I should think over it, this is a new system of coordinates, a new responsibility, I will probably invent more optimal schemes,” the RAS president-elect told reporters after the meeting with the Russian president.
Meanwhile, Putin also did not reply to Fortov’s proposal to give a one-year term on probation to him as the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences. “The president promised to think about it, but he is attracted by the model of a more dynamical development,” Fortov underlined.
