MOSCOW, July 3 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to create a new structure inside the Presidential Council for Education and Science.
“We have a counterproposal to form a separate structure under the Presidential Council of Education and Science from most significant and successful scientists, who are recognized in the whole world. It (a separate structure - Itar-Tass) would appoint the directors (of the research institutes) and would give an assessment to the results of scientific activity, so, would influence to a large extent the distribution of monetary funds,” the president said at a meeting with President-Elect of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Fortov on Wednesday.
