MOSCOW, July 3 (Itar-Tass) - President Vladimir Putin will present State awards in the Kremlin here on Wednesday to several tens of distinguished compatriots, the Kremlin press service reports.
The ceremony will be traditionally held in the Catherine Hall of the Kremlin's Building 1. The President will present the Orders "For Services to the Fatherland", "Alexander Nevsky", "Courage", "For Naval Services", "Merit", and "Friendship" to more than 40 people, all in all.
Honorary titles for services in various branches of the national economy will be also awarded at the ceremony.
Culture and science professionals, sportsmen, military and police officers, business people, and workers will be among those to be honoured at the ceremony in the Catherine Hall. Traditionally, apart from the presentation proper, the President will make a speech addressing all those present.
Such ceremonies with the participation of the Head of State are held regularly. Over the past year Vladimir Putin presented orders, medals and other State awards at ceremonies in the Kremlin three times: on February 22, as well as on the eve of the New Year - December 26, and on August 29, last year.
