EMERCOM warns about risks of tornados along Black Sea coast

Also, EMERCOM expects heavy rainfall on the coast and a subsequent rise of water levels in mountainous rivers

SOCHI, July 2 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia's Ministry for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense /EMERCOM/ has issued a warning on a risk of tornados along the Black Sea coast.

Its forecast speaks of highly unfavorable weather conditions that may take shape in the beach cities of Genedzhik, Tuapse and down the coastline towards the township of Magri.

According to a spokesman for EMERCOM’s division in the Krasnodar territory, rescuers do not rule out a possibility of emergencies linked to the flooding of lowlands where a proper runoff of water is absent, the swelling of river waters and the resultant flooding of areas adjoining the seashore, and infliction of damage on ships out in the sea.

Also, EMERCOM expects heavy rainfall on the coast and a subsequent rise of water levels in mountainous rivers.
