MOSCOW, July 2 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked his visiting Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro “for a friendly mood and a content-intensive dialogue” at the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries, which was held in Moscow on Tuesday.

“In our common opinion, the summit was held successfully, we agreed to coordinate further the joint work at the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries for the development of the global gas market and the promotion of the interests of the gas producing countries,” the Russian president said.

He congratulated the Venezuelan people on an upcoming national holiday - the Day of Independence on July 5.
