Russian, Venezuelan oil companies sign agrmnt on cooperation in shelf project

MOSCOW, July 2 (Itar-Tass) - Russian oil industry’s major corporation, NK Rosneft, and the Venezuelan company PDVSa have signed an agreement on cooperation in oil/gas projects on the continental shelf.

The signing ceremony was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro upon the end of their talks.

Also, a protocol on changes in the September 2010 Russian-Venezuelan Agreement on cooperation in joint strategic projects.

Also, the Russian power engineering corporation Inter Rao ES and the PDVSa signed an agreement on construction of a thermal power plant burning petroleum coke

In addition, the two Presidents watched the signing of an agreement on the terms of granting finance by Gazprombank, the financial vehicle of the Russian gas giant Gazprom, to the projects steered by PDVSa.
