SYDNEY, July 2. /ITAR-TASS /. Australian Electoral Commission has registered the request of the Wikileaks party to participate in the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 14 this year. According to today's publication of the Australian newspaper, the founder of the party Julian Assange, who is now living in Ecuador's embassy in London, announced his candidacy for the election to the Senate from the state of Victoria.
The party also intends to nominate their representatives in the elections to the upper house of the New South Wales and Western Australia.
