MOSCOW, July 1 (Itar-Tass) - President Vladimir Putin said any attempts to give up the basic principles of long-term contracts will cause damage to gas producers and lead to serious costs.
Speaking at the 2nd Gas Exporting Countries Forum on Monday, Putin said: “Unfortunately, those who pursue such policy do not understand that the attempts to give up the basic principles will only cause damage to gas producers and lead to serious costs.”
“Finally, such policy undermines energy security of the countries, which buy gas,” the Russian president said.
