MOSCOW, July 1 (Itar-Tass) - Sergei Mironov, the faction leader of A Just Russia Party in the State Duma, said on Monday that his faction would not vote for the Russian Academy of Sciences reform bill.
"We are not going to vote for it in the first reading,” he emphasized, adding they would try to hinder the bill’s quick consideration in every possible way.
At the same time, Mironov admitted that the Russian Academy of Sciences needed reforms. However, the proposed bill does not suit the deputies of A Just Russia party. “We cannot allow the emergence of Akademservis as a replica of Obornservis. Otherwise, poor academicians will walk around with the outstretched hand,” Mironov said.
