One policeman killed, 13 wounded in clashes with militants in Chechnya

Six out of 13 policemen received bullet wounds of medium degree of gravity

MOSCOW, June 29 (Itar-Tass) - One policeman was killed and 13 were wounded in clashes with militants in Chechnya, a source at the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

"The fighting between the militants and the policemen broke out during an anti-terror operation in the western outskirt of the Kharsenoi settlement of the Shatoisky district of Chechnya. One policeman died of wounds,” the Interior Ministry source said.

Six out of 13 policemen received bullet wounds of medium degree of gravity. The other 7 suffered from concussion and various traumas. They were taken to a hospital of the Interior Ministry medical unit in the Chechen Republic.
