25 people hurt in traffic accident involving 37 cars in Saratov region

An investigation is underway

MOSCOW, June 24 (Itar-Tass) - As many as 25 people were hurt in a road accident involving 37 cars in Russia’s Saratov region, a spokesman for the regional emergencies department cited updated information late on Monday.

According to earlier reports, ten people were hurt in the accident with 23 cars.

According to the spokesman, 25 people were hospitalized, fifteen are in condition of moderate gravity, two are in serious condition. The incident involved 28 motor cars, two buses, two minibuses, two GAZelle cars, and three trucks.

According to preliminary information, the driver of a Kamaz truck lost control of the vehicle and hit other cars, which caused a domino effect.

An investigation is underway.
