US, Russia sign new agreement on reduction of N-threat - White House

WASHINGTON, June 17 (Itar-Tass) - The United States of America and the Russian Federation have signed a new bilateral framework agreement on reduction of nuclear threat, the White House reported on Monday.

The report says the document, which was inked on June 14, improves the partnership in the sphere of non-proliferation and it based on successful fulfilment of the programme of 1992 to reduce threat from mass destruction weapons, which is better known as the Nunn-Lugar programme, which term expired on June 17.
