SUKHUM, June 13 (Itar-Tass) - Abkhazian speaker Valery Bganba said Russia’s support to Abkhazia gave it confidence in implementing brave ideas.

In the greetings message to the heads of both houses of parliament, State Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin and Federation Council chairperson Valentina Matviyenko, on the occasion of Russia Day on Wednesday, June 12, the Abkhazian speaker said, “Russia possesses of the colossal potential and has carried out the state, economic and social reforms.”

Bganba expressed gratitude to the Russian Federal Council and the Russian leadership “for assistance in the social and economic development of Abkhazia and for ensuring stability and peace on the Abkhazian land and the Caucasus”. “The steps taken by Russia to back our country give us confidence in implementing brave ideas and new state projects,” he stressed.
