MOSCOW, June 12 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s law enforcement bodies destroyed five militants in Dagestan, the information centre of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
“Over the past 24 hours five militants have been killed in Dagestan,” the source said.
Earlier the Interior Ministry and the republic’s Investigative Department said two militants and three police officers were killed and another two were wounded in the shootout on the outskirts of Khasavyurt.
At around 23:00 Moscow time on Tuesday police also destroyed three militants as they offered resistance.
