BAKU, June 11 (Itar-Tass) - An international donor conference on Palestine will be held in Baku on Tuesday. It is organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the government of Azerbaijan.
The Azeri Foreign Ministry reports that the forum will consider the question of financing a strategic plan to develop Jerusalem.
"Besides, a constituent conference of the Islamic network of financial security will be founded to help the Palestinian state,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister went on to say.
Riyad Al-Maliki will represent Palestine at the conference. In an interview with the Maan News Agency Al-Maliki said that the donor conference in Baku would discuss a support package for Jerusalem worth 500 million dollars.
According to the Azeri Foreign Ministry, the conference will be attended by foreign ministers and deputy foreign ministers of countries members of the Organization of Islamic Conference and the heads of diplomatic missions of Muslim countries accredited in Azerbaijan.
