MOSCOW, June 11 (Itar-Tass) - The Moscow City Court on Tuesday will pass a verdict on three men found guilty of murdering Vera Sviridova, the deputy head of the Podolsk city administration. The prosecutor demanded long prison sentences (from 12 to 20.5 years behind the bars) for the culprits.

Earlier, the jury decided that the guilt of Vladimir Koshkin, Alexey Koshkin and Alexey Korotkikh had been proven and that the three did not deserve indulgence.

According to investigators, the defendants decided to kill the 53-year-old deputy head of the Podolsk city administration, with an aim to seize her property. They believe that Vladimir Koshkin who was Sviridova’s driver had masterminded the murder.

Sviridova was killed by a shot in the head in her cottage in Svitino village in the Moscow region in September 2011. The murder stole her jewelry, a cell phone, a bag with documents, bank cards and other things.
