Everyone on board Mi-8 found dead - EMERCOM

The rescuers, who managed to get to the site, identified the machine by the board number

VLADIVOSTOK, June 8 (Itar-Tass) - All the people, who were on board a Mi-8 helicopter, which crushed in the Khabarovsk territory, died.

The rescuers, who managed to get to the site, identified the machine by the board number, press service of the regional branch of Russia’s EMERCOM told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

From the site of the accident, the rescuers reported to the office in Khabarovsk that all the people /four members of the crew and one passenger/ were found dead.

The Mi-8 helicopter with four crew members and one passenger on board left the Tugur village, the Tugur-Chumik district for the village of Briakan. It was expected to reach the destination in the evening of June 6. The helicopter, which carried about three tonnes of food products to Briakan, went missing on the way and radio contact with it was lost. It belonged to the regional branch of DOSAAF /in the times of the USSR a volunteer sports-military society, which remains now more like a net of sports clubs/.

On Saturday, rescuers found the helicopter’s wrecks in the Polina district.
