Miners safely evacuated in Kemerovo region’s mine over fire

According to the preliminary information, there are no victims

MOSCOW, June 5 (Itar-Tass) - A fire ripped through a mine in Russia’s Kemerovo region, the Emergencies Ministry told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

The fire broke out at the mine Kiselevskaya at 07:25 Moscow time.

“At that moment there were 53 miners underground, all of them were safely lifted to the surface,” the source said.

According to the preliminary information, there are no victims.

Six rescue units are working on the site of the incident.
