Moldovan parliament appoints new government led by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca

As many as 58 lawmakers voted in favor of the new cabinet

CHISINAU, May 31 (Itar-Tass) - Moldova’s parliament approved the country’s new government led by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca late on Thursday.

Among the ministers are representatives from the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova, the Democratic Party and and a group of reform advocates from the Liberal Party. They have formed a Coalition of Pro-European Rule.

As many as 58 lawmakers voted in favor of the new cabinet.

The new government has no representatives from the opposition, the Party of Communists and those members of the Liberal Party who do not support the new cabinet’s program.
