MOSCOW, May 30 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian government will proceed from the need for preserving the current level of taxation, but some nuances will be taken into account, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev told the Cabinet on Thursday.
“We shall proceed from the need for preserving the level of taxation that there exists, with allowances made for certain nuances,” Medvedev said. In particular, the point at issue is taxation of super-consumption.
“This is the right time for introducing it,” Medvedev said. Also, there are some other nuances that do not shake loose the overall approaches to the tax system.
“The tax system’s advantages, however hard it may be criticized now and in the future, is that it is rather stable and concerns insurance premiums,” Medvedev said.
