People seriously injured in Makhachkala blasts taken to Moscow

MOSCOW, May 26 (Itar-Tass) - The EMERCOM plane carried three injured people from Makhachkala to Moscow, the Russian Emergencies Ministry's information department told Itar-Tass.

The people were seriously injured in the blasts in Makhachkala. They are in grave condition. They will be under treatment in Moscow clinics, a departmental source said.

As was reported earlier, doctors decided to airlift two people to the Russian capital. The two are Gadzhimurad Ibragimov, 33, who suffers injuries of both eyes, and Indira Gazimagomedova, 44, who has a serious head injury and leg injuries. The decision was also taken to take to Moscow Tazhib Ramazanov, 35, who was injured in the blasts near the office of bailiffs in Makhachkala on May 20. The man is in a coma. He has an open cranial injury, a frontal bone fracture, an injury of the right eye and many body injuries.

According to the information of the Emergency Medicine Centre, 44 people hit by the explosions on May 20 and 25 were in Makhachkala hospitals on Saturday. Six of them are in heavy condition. Three people injured in the two explosions in Makhachkala on May 20 were taken to Moscow on May 21 for treatment.

The latest explosion in Makhachkala occurred on Saturday at about noon. According to the investigators, a woman came to traffic policemen and set off her explosive device. Its power was equivalent to 500 grammes of TNT.

Russian Health Ministry officials said 14 people were injured. Later one woman died in hospital.

The suicide attacker was identified by a photo as 25-year-old Madina Aliyeva. She was missing since May 13, this year. Aliyeva was wife of one gunman, then another. At first, she was wife of Ali Aliyev, who was killed in the summer of 2009, and later she was wife of Kurban Dzhapayev, who was killed in a special operation in Kaspiisk in 2012.
