KIEV, May 23 (Itar-Tass) - Ukraine is interested in developing strategic relations and expanding political contacts with China, President Viktor Yanukovich said after visiting deputy chief of China’s Central Military Commission, Xu Qiliang, who is here on a visit.
“The development of strategic relations with China is one of the high priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy relations. We are interested in the further intensification of contacts with China at all levels,” Yanukovich said.
Ukraine is considering China as one of the most important partners in the spheres of military and scientific-technological cooperation and it is prepared to expand these areas of bilateral relations in all possible way. The development of economic cooperation is a key factor for Ukrainian-Chinese relations,” Yanukovich said.
