Destroyed militant involved in Ingushetia terrorist attacks

Specialists are now inspecting the scene of fighting

NAZRAN, May 21 (Itar-Tass) - One of the two militants destroyed in a special operation in Ingushetia on Tuesday was involved in a number of terrorist attacks in the republic, the regional department of the Investigative Committee told Itar-Tass.

"The investigators have ascertained the identities of the gunmen," the SK said, "they are Dzhamalleil Mutaliyev, 32 and Alikhan Ozdoyev, 27, who had abetted militants.

The operation began at around 06:00, Moscow time. Police blocked a house in Bariyev Street and offered the militants to lay down arms and surrender. A woman with a child walked out of the house during the negotiations, but Mutaliyev and Ozdoyev refused to surrender and offered armed resistance.

Specialists are now inspecting the scene of fighting.
