IRKUTSK, May 16 (Itar-Tass) - About 20 people were hurt in a road accident involving a passenger bus in the Irkutsk region, a spokesman for the regional police department told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
According to the spokesman, the accident took place at 17:30 local time (12:30 a.m. Moscow time) near the town of Usolye-Sibirskoye. A passenger bus that was heading from Irkutsk to Tulun ran into a Mitsubishi car going in the opposite direction. “The bus went off the road and overturned. There were 49 people inside. According to preliminary information, twenty were hurt,” the spokesman said.
An investigation is underway.
