Just Russia party wants to raise issue of paying 13th pension annually to persons over 70

Today Russian President Vladimir Putin will have a meeting with leaders of Duma factions

MOSCOW, May 15 (Itar-Tass) - Representatives of the A Just Russia faction in the State Duma lower house of parliament at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that is scheduled for May 15 will raise the issue of the payment of the 13th annual pension to those who are older than 70 years, a Just Russia leader Sergei Mironov told reporters earlier this week.

“We will be offering two initiatives: on the 13th pension for persons who reached 70 years of age, as well as the exemption from the payment of land tax of owners of land plots that are smaller than 8 ares,” Mironov said.

In addition, he said, A Just Russia members intend to discuss the issue of the preparation of a new bill on elections to the State Duma (the bill has already passed the first reading in the lower house), as well as the socio-economic situation in the country.

“I hope that these issues will find consolidated support of representatives of all factions,” said Mironov.
