MOSCOW, May 13 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a telephone conversation with his UAE counterpart Abdullah Al Nahyan on Monday, May 13, to discuss the situation in Syria and bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the conversation initiated by the UAE minister, Lavrov and Nahyan “discussed in detail Russian-UAE relations and the situation in Syria in the context of international efforts towards peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis, including the Russian-American initiative to hold an international conference on the basis of the Action Group’s Geneva Communique of June 30, 2012,” the ministry said.
