Nurse was absent during mental hospital fire outbreak

The fire in psychiatric hospital # 17 in the village of Ramenskoye, Moscow region, occurred overnight to Friday, April 26, and claimed 38 lives

MOSCOW, April 29 (Itar-Tass) - Preliminary investigation found that the nurse who saved two mental hospital patients was not at her workplace when the fire broke out, a law-enforcement source told Itar-Tass on Monday.

"She was not at the nurses station. She was in another building, and saw the fire from there," the source said, adding that the fire might have broken out at around midnight, not at 01:30, Moscow time, last Friday, as earlier reported.
