MOSCOW, April 28 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow City’s police have detained nine people including five drivers of a wedding motorcade who were reported shooting in the air in the south of the capital, the Moscow police press service told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
“The guests of the wedding party were detained at the driveway to Tsaritsino Park. They are being interrogated,” the press service said.
According to preliminary data, fifteen people rode in the five-car cortege. The police are searching for the arms.
Detainees who were shooting in the air from nonlethal guns while the motorcade was proceeding along the city streets come from North Caucasus, a source at Moscow’s law-enforcement agencies said.
“As many as nine persons have been detained,” the press service said. “They have been brought to the Biryulevo Vostochnoye police station for explanations about the shooting incident.”
