Resumption of Georgia-Russia trade good start

The prime minister noted that “it will not be easy to establish relations with Russia"

STRASBOURG, April 24 (Itar-Tass) - Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili holds that “a good start has been made in establishing relations with Russia.” The Georgian premier, now in Strasbourg to attend the PACE spring session, told Georgian reporters “by its correct actions the Georgian government set the beginning of the resumption of trade relations with Russia, and this process goes well.”

The prime minister noted that “it will not be easy to establish relations with Russia.” “I have never said that the perspective regarding Russia will be easy. As to the restoration of Georgia’s territorial integrity and ultimate settlement of relations with Russia, this will take time,” Ivanishvili said. He stressed that “step by step Georgia will surely recover its territories and will establish friendly relations with Russia.”
