MOSCOW, April 23 (Itar-Tass) – All the eight strategic nuclear submarines of Projects 955 and 955A /"Borei" and "Borei-A"/ will carry 16 Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles each, head of the Defense Ministry's department for state defense procurements Andrei Vernigora told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
Russia’s Navy will get into service two Project 955 Borei nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine, the Alexander Nevsky and the Vladimir Monomakh, and Project 855 Yasen multipurpose nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine, the Severodvinsk, this year, the head of the Defence Ministry’s for state defence procurement, Andrei Vernigora, and Deputy Defence Minister Yuri Borisov told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
