Emergency regime introduced in Bryansk region over flood

As many as 149 houses, where 431 people live, were flooded in the Bryansk Region

MOSCOW, April 21 (Itar-Tass) - The emergency situation regime was introduced in the Bryansk Region over a major flood, the press service of the regional branch of the Main Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

As many as 149 houses, where 431 people live, were flooded in the Bryansk Region.

“The most unfavourable flood situation has emerged in the settlement Raditsa-Krylovka, which is situated in the Bezhitsky district of Bryansk. Due to a steep rise in the water level on the Bolva River, 18 streets were flooded in the settlement that disrupted the traffic and the movement of people,” the press service reported.

On Sunday morning, Deputy Governor of the Bryansk Region Mikhail Klimov, who chairs the regional committee of emergency situations, and head of the Bryansk regional branch of the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kobzev inspected the flooded area.
