Brahimi’s possible resignation may be bad for Syrian settlement - Gatilov

"Brahimi wants to have cooperation of all parties in the conflict but the opposition has not yet agreed to his proposals", Gatilov added

MOSCOW, April 12 (Itar-Tass) - Brahimi’s possible resignation from the post of U.N. and LAS peace envoy for Syria will produce a negative impact on efforts to settle the conflict in that country,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov wrote in his blog in Twitter late on Friday.

"Brahimi wants to have cooperation of all parties in the conflict but the opposition has not yet agreed to his proposals. Some external players are obviously not interested in this cooperation,” Gatilov added.
