US Administration publishes Magnitsky List

The sanctions these individuals fall under include a denial of U.S. travel visas to them

WASHINGTON, April 12 (Itar-Tass) - U.S. Administration has published the so-called Magnitsky List - a list of Russian officials who have become targets of unilateral sanctions on the part of Washington under provisions of the highly controversial Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act, which the U.S. Congress passed in December 2012.

The Russian officials’ names have been provided by the Department of the Treasury. The sanctions these individuals fall under include a denial of U.S. travel visas to them and a freezing of their bank assets on the American territory, should any such assets be tracked down.
