VLADIKAVKAZ, April 12 (Itar-Tass) - The regime of a counterterrorist operation was imposed in some areas of North Ossetia's Mozdok district on Friday, the republic's operational headquarters reported.
The counterterrorist operation has been continuing in the areas of the settlements of Khurikau and Kusovo since 06:00 Moscow time. The regime is imposed to prevent attacks by terrorists and protect important facilities, in accordance with the federal law on counteraction against terrorism.
The regime is imposed near borders of North Ossetia in some settlements for a month already. The measures are taken in connection with reports about movement of gunmen to the republic's borders.
